I have been trying to gradually expand our RV nomadic skills by relying less on the planned full hookup experiences. Our August trip of 21 days included only five nights of full hook ups. Half of the other nights were completely dry (no water, sewer, or electrical). But all of these stays were reserved before we left home.

On our most recent trip, we hit the road on September 12 with only the first two campsites in Oregon reserved and a goal of reaching the Sawtooth Mountains by the 20th. No other plans. No end date.

We ended up going as far east as Yellowstone. 4 states, 2 national parks, 37 nights, 3000 miles.
